On Chair – Balancing on the Edge of Comfort
Jun. 21, 2023 - Sep. 30, 2023The concept of the exhibition project for THE DESIGN On Chair – Balancing on the Edge of Comfort for Designblok ’23 was thematically created by curators Eva Slunečková and artist Romana Drdová.
The main motif of the exhibition is the presentation of the author’s design chairs and armchairs, which visitors can sit on (use) during the exhibition and test their function and aesthetics directly in the interior of the gallery.
Among the exhibits on display you can find a chair by Jan Plecháč, Eva Eisler, Filip Kramply, David Šesták or Kristýna Mikolášková. THE DESIGN is a space that aims to exhibit contemporary and applied art side by side in one place. The exhibition will therefore also include sculptures by Michal Janiga and textile works by Lucie Kralík Rosická.
