Deep bowl Czech Republic from design studio Qubus. The bowl originally named “Heimweh” (longing for home) was included in Maxim Velčovský’s diploma thesis. This bowl is a souvenir in the shape of the Czech Republic. It loosely follows the work of the Finnish designer Alvar Aalto and his series of organic glass vases from the 1930s. Velčovský decided on a specific topographical abstraction. It although directly refers to Czech statehood, but for those who are not familiar with the subject, deep bowl Czech Republic remains deeply incomprehensible.
