Pearl bowl

Pearl bowl by designer Roman Šedina. Roman transcends the boundaries between art and design. He has long explored the form of the vessel, primarily creating monumental hand-thrown vases or bowls. He then deconstructs this labor-intensive and physically demanding process—without which such an artifact would not exist—by deforming, crushing, or even shattering the vessels. The resulting form is often characterized by striking glazes, with metallic hues from his own recipes becoming his signature.
