The motifs of fire and flame, symbols of inner strength, vitality, and safety, convey the idea that nurturing one’s inner light allows individuals to perceive the beauty and kindness around them even in difficult times. “It is important to take care of your inner light and consciously cultivate it. Unfortunately, darkness is faster and often more attractive to humanity, so it can very easily engulf and suffocate the light within us. Everyone imagines light differently. I thought about what it means to me, and I associate it with the flame of a candle. I remember it from old paintings in churches and from temples and shrines themselves. Fire and light are life…” describes Janja.
