Mikolášková & Drobná

The duo’s work is characterised by a distinctive visual language. The designers often work with bright colours and shapes. Their work ranges from designing products and works for the home to eye-catching installations for well-known brands, magazines and cafes.

They are not afraid to experiment with different materials and forms in their work. They can turn abstract concepts and ideas into physical form with an emphasis on aesthetics and practicality. Their work together reflects not only their design skills, but also their ability to connect design with emotion and message.

With the initial Scene Collection, which was presented during the international Designblok 2021 show, the designers were nominated for the Designblok 2021 Awards in the category of Best Installation by a Designer or Design Studio.

At the same time, the artists were included in the Erste Premier Talent Display Selection and won the award for Best Installation at the Czech Design Week 2021 festival. Their first year together culminated in their nomination and inclusion among the finalists of the Czech Grand Design 2021 in the Discovery of the Year category.

In 2024, the duo Mikolášková & Drobná won another prestigious award, the EDIDA Elle Decoration award in the Furniture of the Year category for their Candy Tables collection. Kristýna and Tereza do not remain limited to the domestic scene. Their projects have been successfully presented in various countries, including France and Budapest.
