Michaela Gorcová

Michaela Gorcová has been designing and manufacturing jewelry since 1996, when she was accepted to the Metal and Jewelry studio of Prof. K. V. Novák at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. During her studies, she tried out various artistic techniques and became familiar with new and interesting technologies.

She works with precious metals, titanium, and especially stainless steel. She uses electroplating and powder coating to add color variations to her jewelry. Gold plating gives the jewelry a touch of exclusivity, silver plating creates the dreamy atmosphere of a winter landscape, while the metallic silver-gray shade of ruthenium makes it attractive.

He does not shy away from any technique. However, the idea must always come first, crystallizing over time. He then strives to refine it into the most perfect form possible, with respect for the jewelry. He seeks to transcend traditional jewelry-making techniques and is not afraid to push their boundaries.
