Tomáš Absolon
FacebookInstagramTomáš Absolon (*1987) is a Czech painter who graduated from Jiří Pertbok’s Drawing Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.
His work thematizes an ambivalence between the concrete and the abstract. Among other things, he is inspired by the aesthetics of posters, their history and uncertain standing in today’s contemporary world.
He understands his own artistic practice as a universal language for expressing the relationships of proxy motifs in large painting cycles.
