RAP / Michaela Vrbková
The experimental studio Rap interier is now in its 34th season. It is led by 2 generations of furniture and interior designers. The company was founded in Mikulov in 1990 by Vítězslav Vrbka, who runs the company with his son Adam Vrbka. The position of Art Director is held by his daughter Michaela Vrbková.
In addition to complete realizations, Rap also offers products of its own production. All elements are created from design to realization. The uniqueness, originality and authenticity of the elements lies in the quality material of solid wood, which is completely unique due to its properties. This solid wood is combined with other fine materials in the furniture elements. This combination of materials is backed by many years of experience in furniture production and the creation of original interiors.
RAP presented its furniture line designed by Michaela Vrbková at Designblok 2022 (Archean collection) and 2023 (Ab Ovo series). With the Archean collection, RAP also participated in the international exhibition 360 Design Budapest 2023.
The Ab Ovo bookcase presented at Designblok 2023 was nominated for the EDIDA Elle Decorations 2024 award in the furniture category.
Ecology, recycling, zero-waste, respect for natural materials, as well as the application of years of experience in the realisation of various types of interior design commissions. This is what we see as the future and direction of the Rap family company.
