This is not one of those stories about learning to knit from a grandmother and the rest being history. The founder spent years doodling and sketching strange, mystical creatures—silhouettes that felt too unusual for canvas, yet too alive to remain hidden in sketchbooks. They longed to move, to breathe, to be seen in the world rather than quietly linger on a page.

One day came the realization: why keep them on paper when people could wear them? That is how Baubas was born.

In collaboration with a small knitting factory, the sketches were transformed into real sweaters. Every pattern, shape, and tiny creature from the notebooks was carefully translated into wool.

From the very beginning, it was clear these sweaters would never be mass-produced. They are created in small batches from the finest Italian lambswool. Each piece carries care, imagination, and a touch of mischief—just like the creatures themselves.
