Tomáš Kurečka (1994) sees history as a catalogue of motifs, shapes, and themes, explored with ease and playfulness.

He studied New Media in Ostrava and later Intermedia and Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.

The conceptual approach to the sources of inspiration is balanced by a romantic attitude. Ambivalence also lies in the intermingling of irony and emotion, eroticism and perversion. Tomáš Kurečka builds an environment – a scene – a place of possible acts out of small details – clues. Using various artistic means, he reflects contemporary and historical attitudes of thought and aesthetics, creating an impressive connection between design and fashion and a philosophical essay.

In the exhibition we bring together designer Jiří Krejčiřík, multimedia artist Alexander Martsynyuk working with 3D and conceptual artist Tomáš Kurečka. All three artists work at the intersection of art and design and have a distinctive style that comments on the contemporary world.
