The Flash Art Czech & Slovak Edition magazine, founded by Helena Kontová, Juraj Čarný, and Lýdia Pribišová in 2006, consistently holds the position of the most prominent periodical on contemporary visual art in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
It is published with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the State Fund of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Fund for the Support of Arts of the Slovak Republic, and the Italian publisher Flash Art srl. The magazine is released in Czech and Slovak languages as a quarterly publication. The main mission of the Czech and Slovak edition of the internationally recognized Flash Art magazine is to provide current information and to systematically support the development of critical and theoretical thinking within contemporary art. It also aims to facilitate continuous exchange of information between the domestic art scene and the international art community.
